    North Bay Hydro’s Regulatory Scorecard

    The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) has developed a scorecard for all local distribution companies across the Province as a tool to allow customers to gain a better sense of how well their utility is performing over a 5 year period. Utility scorecards track and show comprehensive performance information for each electricity utility in Ontario, over a range of time and for a specific year.

North Bay Hydro Distribution limited (NBHDL) is pleased to support the Ontario Government’s launch of the COVID-19 Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) for Residential Customers. The Government of Ontario is providing $9 million to support eligible residential customers struggling to pay their energy bills as a result of COVID-19.

Important Notice – On January 14, 2021, the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) changed the eligibility criteria to make CEAP for residential and small business customers more easily accessible as well as increasing the credit amount cap to $750 under CEAP and to $1,500 under CEAP-SB.

Customers, who have already submitted an application but did not qualify, will be re-evaluated by North Bay Hydro Distribution Limited using the new eligibility criteria.

Note: Application forms are being updated to the new eligibility requirements and will be posted shortly.

Eligibility Requirements–Updated
Residential electricity and natural gas customers may be eligible for CEAP funding if they meet the following criteria:

  • The customer has overdue amounts owing from one or more previous bill(s) since March 17, 2020.
