Time-of-Use pricing means that your cost of electricity depends on the time of day that you are consuming it. The reason for time-of-use pricing is to reduce consumption during high demand times. When demand rises, more expensive forms of electricity are needed, making prices higher.

North Bay Hydro engaged 750 students in 22 elementary school in October 2013. With full support from the English, French and Catholic School Boards, North Bay Hydro created an informative 45-minute presentation for Grade 6 students. The ever-evolving Smart Grid was explained to the kids in an easy-to-understand format. Students were encouraged to take an online quiz and submit conservation artwork to win prizes, and over 350 took part.
