Total Monthly Cost

This calculator can help you approximate the amount of electricity you use each month, and estimate your costs based on a Residential - High Density account. The costs on your bill will not exactly match these results as the calculator omits the GST, fixed service charge and standard supply service charge. Use this calculator as a guide to find ways to use less electricity.

Note: The monthly cost to operate this appliance for residences, small businesses and farms is based on cents per kilowatt hour (kWh) on the first kWh of electricity consumed per month. Any consumption above kWh will be priced at cents per kWh. Other regulated charges include Delivery, Regulatory charges, and the Debt Retirement charge. For a full explanation of your bill, visit the Customers section of this site. Also note, your actual costs may differ depending on the number of people in your home, types and brands of appliances you use, their EnerGuide rating, and their age.
